Roh Jeong-eui Regrets Weighing 39kg In The Past, “I’m Afraid Young Fans Will Diet In A Wrong Way”

On the morning of February 5th, Roh Jeong-eui met with SPOTV News at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, and revealed various stories about her new movie “Badland Hunters”.

Roh Jeong-eui talked about her appearance recently, saying “I’ve lost a lot of baby fat in recent years. I think most of my weight loss was during the filming of ‘Badland Hunters’ two years ago. After the film was released, I realized, ‘Oh, I still have baby fat back then’. I think I would have the same thought two years later”.

Regarding her body profile of 165cm and 39kg that recently made headlines, the actress expressed her concerns, saying “I thought about it a lot. I felt very regretful when reading those articles. By mentioning it, I’m afraid that young people may go on a diet in a wrong way during their growing period”.

She explained, “In my case, I exercised a lot for my diet, but I felt so sorry and regretful wondering if I might have caused compulsion or delivered the wrong message to younger friends. I’ve been eating well and exercising a lot since then, so my body has changed compared to that time.”

Roh Jeong-eui shared, “In fact, my face became so small because I lost baby fat. I don’t look at my weight, but I focus on my muscle mass. It’s over 20kg. I work out 4-5 hours a day because I need to increase my muscles to improve strength and stamina for filming schedules. I also work out with a PT or do flying yoga and Pilates. I enjoy exercising because it helps me relieve stress and train my body”.

She added, “The first number in my current weight is not 3. It doesn’t make sense at all. I’ve increased my muscle mass”, adding “I hope fans also enjoy exercising. At some point, your body and mind will become healthier. I want you all to work out to be healthy, not to lose weight. You guys are already pretty now.”

Released on January 26th, Netflix’s original film “Badland Hunters” entered the Global Top 10 Non-English Movies on Netflix, proving its global popularity.
