Robert Downey Jr.’s funny hair transformation video teased his image for the upcoming series, “The Sympathizer”

The actor is to appear in the A24 drama adaptation of the novel of the same name, directed by Park Chan-wook. 

Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr.,most famously known for his role Iron Man, made a surprise transformation as he suddenly shaved his hair and came out with a comic appearance.

However, there seemed to be another reason why Robert Downey Jr. decided to shave off his hair and made a sudden transformation.

On the 30th of last month, Robert Downey Jr. posted a video on his Instagram.

He appeared in front of his children carving pumpkins for Halloween and asked him for help. The actor proceeded to lay out various beauty tools and asked the children to shave his head.

At the end, his child asked his help in return for the favor and put on pumpkin makeup on his head and a pumpkin tip on the top of his head, resembling a pumpkin image.

While the video alone out of context could have been a fun time with his children, Robert gave a clue of what he was doing in the video. Specifically, Robert Downey Jr. tagged Park Chan-wook’s drama series “The Sympathizer” with the caption, “The things we do for our work… and our kids”. It turned out that he was shaving his hair for a role in the novel-adapted series. 

Nonetheless, viewers melted at the sight of Robert Downey Jr. having a fun time “fooling around” with his sons and how much he would sacrifice for them. 

Robert Downey Jr. was a 57-year-old actor born in 1965. He became the most influential actor in Hollywood in 2008 when he starred in Marvel Studios’ movie “Iron Man”.

The appearance fee is also Hollywood’s highest paycheck.

Recently, he started filming the American drama “The Sympathizer” directed by Park Chan-wook.

It is also known that Robert Downey Jr.’s appearance fee amounts to $2 million (KRW 2.8 billion) per episode.
