SMCU comics contents of the group Red Velvet have been released ahead of their comeback.
At 00:00 (KST) on November 9th, “SMCU: Red Velvet – The Story of ReVe” was released through Red Velvet, showing the colorful concepts that Red Velvet has presented. Based on the story, the behind-the-scenes story of the birth and growth of “ReVe”, a helper in Red Velvet’s imaginary world, was presented in a lyrical and lovely cartoon style and captivated attention.
In particular, this is the first comics content of the metaversal origin story “SMCU” (SM Culture Universe), which SM presents as the core value and vision of future entertainment. A fairy tale-like concept and storytelling, which include various elements in Red Velvet’s music videos and album artworks, can be met through Instagram and Webtoon, providing a different kind of fun.
In addition, Aromi Kim, who wrote the “Brown & Friends” storybook series and various fairy tales and screenplays, and writer D D Kang, who worked as an art director for Nexon and is in charge of planning for Nickelodeon Random Cartoons in the United States, participated in the story production, adding a unique warm-feeling and enhancing the level of perfection.
New episodes of “SMCU: Red Velvet – The Story of ReVe” will also be released through Red Velvet’s official SNS at 00:00 (KST) on the 10th and 11th, and high attention can be expected.
Red Velvet will release the new mini-album “The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday” on November 28th, and it is currently available for pre-order at various online and offline music stores.
