“Reborn Rich” opened its 2nd act with the story reaching its peak. The rating was on the verge of surpassing 20%, but it fell to the 16% range.
According to Nielsen Korea on Dec 10th, the 9th episode of JTBC’s Friday-Saturday-Sunday drama “Reborn Rich” (directed by Jung Dae Yoon, Kim Sang Ho, scripted by Kim Tae Hee, Jang Eun Jae) recorded 16.995% (based on paid broadcasting households nationwide). This is a 2.454% drop from 19.449%, its highest rating recorded in the 8th episode aired on Dec 4th.
It was only a matter of time before the drama surpassed 20% as it doesn’t have a drama that could be called rival in the same time slot. The story picked up an interesting development at the beginning of the 2nd act, but the ratings suddenly fell.
However, tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Under The Queen’s Umbrella” ended last week, and as its strong rival disappeared, the ratings of “Reborn Rich” are expected to rise back today (Dec 10th).
In the 9th episode of “Reborn Rich,” Jin Do Joon (Song Joong Ki) reunited with Seo Min Young (Shin Hyun Bin), who has become a prosecutor. In order to remove Jin Hwa Young (Kim Shin Rok) from the department store, Jin Do Joon reported her embezzlement of public funds to Seo Min Young.
However, with Mo Hyun Min’s help, Jin Hwa Young denied the embezzlement accusation, claiming that Jin Do Joon made a false report to purchase shares in her department store.
Seo Min Young had no choice but to doubt Jin Do Joon. This is adding to the question of whether Seo Min Young will eventually catch Jin Do Young or Jin Hwa Young, and what evidence she has secured.
