Reason why this Canadian actor has to hide his English name while working in Korea

Actor Na In-woo, who recently joined KBS’ popular variety show “2 Days & 1 Night,” as the youngest cast member. In the first episode with his appearance, he wandered 7 kilometers away from Base Camp with overflowing enthusiasm, giving viewers a big laugh.

Na In-woo, nicknamed “hyungs’ fan, natriever” for his weird but infinite affection and trust in the older members, is praised by Kim Jong-min as “a much fooler person than me” for foolishness contrary to his handsome appearance and tall height.

In the trailer for the next episode, Kim Jong-min asked Na In-woo, who had immigrated to Canada in the past, what his English name was, and Na In-woo answered “John,” and Kim Jong-min said his full name, “John Na, you’re John Na,” making people laugh as John Na sounds like존나, a curse word in Korean (Nine Woo’s real name is Na Jong-chan).

KBS’s ” River Where the Moon Rises”

Na In-woo is gathering attention for his variety talent. Last year, he was urgently chosen to replace actor Jisoo to play Ondal, the main character of the KBS drama “River Where the Moon Rises.” He showed his passion for acting as he successfully finished 20 episodes in a month. The actor reportedly lost 8kg because he could only sleep less than an hour a day.

Na In-woo, who won Best New Actor at the 2021 KBS Drama Awards for “River Where the Moon Rises.” He is cast to play the main character alongside Seo Hyun in director Yoon Sang-ho’s new drama “Jinx’s Lover,” and will meet viewers three times a week on the small screen from June.
