Amidst soccer player Hwang Ui Jo’s scandal over his private life, a post by his ex-girlfriend, T-ara Hyomin, has resurfaced.
Last April, T-ara Hyomin posted an English phrase on her Instagram. She wrote, “I’d rather sleep than go out,” and “I’d rather die than marry him,” with a laughing emoticon.
At the time, netizens speculated that her phrase “I’d rather die than marry him” was her taking a jab at Hwang Ui Jo. And it’s not surprising considering that Hyomin dated Hwang Ui Jo from November 2021 to March 2022 before they broke up.
A month after breaking up with Hwang Ui Jo, Hyomin deleted that post after the speculation. She later re-posted it with another English sentence, “Most of all you should go on a diet.”
Earlier, Hwang Ui Jo had threatened legal action in response to the leak of his private life.
A person claiming to be Hwang Ui Jo’s ex-girlfriend, referred to as A, uploaded a post on social media on June 25th. She revealed that “Hwang Ui Jo secretly filmed private moments of several women.“
Hwang Ui Jo’s agency confirmed, “Regarding Hwang Ui Jo’s private life, we have confirmed baseless rumors and the spread of sexual defamation. We have requested an investigation into those who created and spread the rumors. Not all the contents uploaded on social media are true.”
Hwang Ui Jo has since made his personal Instagram account private.
