“Queendom 2” refutes suspicions of digital score manipulation, “According to the confirmation of the voting observer…”

Mnet’s “Queendom 2” explained the suspicion of a score manipulation during the live broadcast of the final competition raised by netizens.

Mnet’s “Queendom 2” said to TV Daily on the afternoon of June 3rd, “As we announced in advance, one ID can stream only once a day (multiple IDs are valid, duplicated streams are invalid) on the official playlist of ‘Queendom 2’. Only valid streams are reflected in the digital scores.”

Mnet explained, “All the digital score data was managed by the music streaming service then the final score was aggregated and provided to the production team of ‘Queendom 2’”. They added, “The voting observer confirmed that the data was reflected on the official broadcast the way it was. Thank you for showing your interest in ‘Queendom 2’ until the end”.

Earlier, netizens raised suspicion that the “comeback single digital score” was rigged, but Mnet immediately dismissed the suspicions and revealed their explanation.

“ In order to gather various opinions from global K-pop fans, the digital scores were counted through a global music streaming service.

As we announced in advance, one ID can stream only once a day (multiple IDs are valid, duplicated streams are invalid) on the official playlist of ‘Queendom 2’. Only valid streams are reflected in the digital scores. All the digital score data was managed by the music streaming service then the final score was aggregated and provided to the production team of ‘Queendom 2’.

In addition, the voting observer confirmed that the data was reflected on the official broadcast the way it was.
