“Queendom 2”, accumulated video views of 170 million… Proving global popularity

The cumulative number of YouTube views of Queendom 2’s videos surpassed 170 million views globally.

The production team of Mnet’s “Queendom 2” said, “The cumulative number of YouTube views of 6 girl groups’ performance videos exceeded 170 million views as of May 27th. In particular, video viewing overseas has increased significantly compared to season 1.” Among 205 countries and regions around the world except for Korea, “Queendom 2” videos were watched the most in Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines and the United States.

The most-watched video by global K-POP fans was “Time for the Moon Night + Rough” performed by girl group Viviz in the first preliminary performances, with the cumulative number of views exceeding 8.79 million views. Viviz’s stable performance and sharp group dance drew the attention of fans.

The next highest number of views is Kep1er‘s “Opening Show” and Hyolyn‘s “Touch My Body”. They recorded 7.94 million views and 7.85 million views, respectively. In particular, Hyolyn took first place in the first preliminary performances with an all-kill through this stage.

Loona‘s “SHAKE IT”, praised by world-renowned pop star Cardi B, surpassed 5.71 million views. “SHAKE IT” continued to make headlines even after the broadcast by topping iTunes’ Top Songs Chart in 7 countries and regions around the world.

195 countries and regions around the world participated in the video voting for “Queendom 2”, confirming the enthusiastic response of overseas K-POP fans.

After each preliminary performances, video voting was held through the global online platform YouTube. 195 countries and regions around the world, including Asia, Europe, South America and North America, participated. In particular, 20,000 K-POP fans from 80 countries and regions applied for the global evaluation, which requires K-POP fans to participate in every preliminary performances.
