Public outcry over famous actor accused of raping teenage girl but still on bail

Many frustrated netizens flocked to find the identity of this actor.

Recently, JTBC’s “Surveillance Scandal” shed light on the case of a famous actor sexually assaulting a teenage student. Accordingly, actor “A” appeared on TV regularly, became familiar with the public, and even won many awards.

The case happened in October last year, victim B was a student attending an acting academy. The students texted and expressed their wish to give A a birthday present. A invited students to his house to have a party and encouraged them to drink. At the end of the party, A sent the students home and only kept B and sexually assaulted her. 

A seduced B that if she slept with him, she would be exempt from tuition fees. In Supervisor Scandal, victim B’s father was frustrated: “It is one of the few acting academies in the area. There are many famous actors in A’s family, so they attract a lot of students to attend.” 

Supervisor Scandal released a video of A only wearing underwear and kneeling down apologizing to the victim: “I’m sorry, I love you, I misunderstood. Can’t you forgive me even once?”. In response, B said: “Stop, I thought you were a teacher. What did you misunderstand? I said it twice.” 

When Scandal Supervisor contacted, A denied all allegations: “There is absolutely no sexual assault. There are other details behind this misunderstanding video”. 

Reportedly, A has been charged with rape and violation of the Juvenile Protection Act. However, this person has not been detained and still teaches at the acting academy.

Immediately, this information shook the Korean public. The identity of actor A is still unknown.
