Psychopathic couple who remodeled a playroom to a torture room, killed 12 women including their own daughters
The shocking story of two English serial killers was revealed through “Shocking Chart”.
In MBC Every1’s “Shocking Chart”, which aired on November 21st, shocking crime stories were revealed under the theme “The criminal is in the house”.
The main characters of the story, Fred and Rosemary West, are a psychopathic couple who kidnapped and killed more than 12 women over the past 20 years.
Born in England, they had eight children, a happy family with a good reputation. The couple’s evil deeds were first discovered through their 16-year-old daughter Heather.
A friend of Heather, who was usually puzzled by Heather’s bruises on her way to school, asked what happened to her. Heather confessed that she had been tortured by her family.
The startled friend informed her family of the incident, but Heather was eventually killed when the news reached the West’s ears.
Fred and Rosemary West told people around them that Heather was a homosexual runaway and said to the rest of the children, “You should act properly, too. If you don’t want to be buried in the backyard.” In the meantime, the children pretended not to know about all the murders of the West couple.
Belatedly suspicious of Heather’s disappearance, police searched the West’s home and found the remains of 12 victims, including Heather. One of them belonged to the couple’s other daughter, Charmaine.
What’s more shocking is that the West couple enjoyed murdering by converting their children’s playroom into a torture chamber.
Even after all the crimes were revealed, the West said while smiling, “Did you find only 12 bodies? The police are fools. We killed 30 people.”
Later, while the arrest investigation was unfolding, Fred took his own life, and Rosemary was sentenced to life imprisonment and has been imprisoned to this day.
The problem is that even after the West couple’s actions were revealed, the surviving children had to suffer excruciating pain. Among them, Barry, who witnessed the death of his sister Heather, suffered from endless nightmares and eventually passed away in 2020.
