Prosecution summons Yoo Ah In for the first time & considers re-applying for arrest warrant
The prosecution recently summoned actor Yoo Ah In, who is suspected of habitually taking drugs
On September 12th, Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office’s Special Crime Investigation Unit (Chief Prosecutor Shin Joon Ho) privately summoned actor Yoo Ah In for question on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
It’s been three months since the police handed over Yoo Ah In to the prosecution without detention in June.
The police requested an arrest warrant in May but the court rejected it, stating the reason that “the suspect has admitted to most of the charges and a significant amount of evidence has already been secured”.
After receiving Yoo Ah In’s case, the prosecution has been investigating it again more thoroughly. According to reports, they raided the residence of Yoo Ah In’s acquaintance suspected to be an accomplice, and found additional evidence of drug administration.
The prosecution is considering applying for an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah In again after completing the investigation.
