“The real reason why FIFTY FIFTY hit the jackpot in the US?” The identity of CEO Jeon Hong Joon’s “hidden helper” is so surprising
There is a person who is said to have been the hidden helper of Attrakt’s CEO Jeon Hong Joon.
According to an exclusive report by Munhwa Ilbo on Sep 12th, Kim Se Hwang, famous as a legendary guitarist of bands such as N.EX.T and NovaSonic, was the person who promoted girl group FIFTY FIFTY‘s activities in the US.
It is reported that along with Attrakt’s CEO Jeon Hong Joon, Kim Se Hwang, who has been serving as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Attrakt USA since April this year, held meetings with various local companies, including Warner Music’s headquarters in the US, to prepare in earnest for FIFTY FIFTY’s US activities.
Kim Se Hwang, who is staying in LA, told Munhwa Ilbo, “CEO Jeon was planning to enter the US market. An acquaintance introduced us to each other. I’m also a close friend of 30 years with CEO Jang Se Ik, who was my manager during N.EX.T’s activities. I’m engaged in activities, cooperation, promotion and consultation with local companies in the US. We’re currently collecting songs for a new girl group project.“
Kim Se Hwang, who is currently collecting new songs and considering concepts along with CEO Jeon, said, “CEO Jeon is drawing a big picture, so I’ll work hard to help that picture be completed nicely.”
In the interview with Munhwa Ilbo, Kim Se Hwang expressed regret over the current dispute between Attrakt and FIFTY FIFTY.
He confessed, “When CEO Jeon came to LA on a business trip, he said he was looking for a house for FIFTY FIFTY to stay in during their future activities in the US, but the price was too high. When I asked ‘Why are you looking for such an expensive and good house?’, he replied, ‘Our artists are away from home working in another country, so I want to let them rest in a good place when they come home from their schedules.’ At that time, I felt that CEO Jeon thought a lot about artists.”
Meanwhile, Attrakt succeeded in attracting 10 billion won from Singaporean global investment company Evergreen Group Holdings on Aug 31st. Evergreen Group Holdings is a global investment company based in Singapore. David Yong, the young CEO of this investment company, has been expanding his business into the entertainment industry and finance sector since taking office.
In 2014, singer-guitarist Kim Se Hwang became the first Korean artist to have his guitar displayed in the Guitar Center store in Hollywood, at “Hollywood’s RockWalk”, a hall of fame honoring musical artists. In 2018, he received Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation for his achievements in the overseas export business of Korean music artists.
