G-Dragon, a member of the group Big Bang, mourned the victims of the Itaewon disaster.
G-Dragon posted “Pray for Itaewon” on his Instagram on the 30th. The day before, on the 29th, a large crowd gathered near the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the occasion of Halloween. The fire department issued a third-stage response at 11:50 p.m. that night.
According to the fire department, as of 10 am on the 30th, 151 people had died (54 men, 97 women) and 82 people were injured (19 people with serious injuries, 63 people with minor injuries). The government declared a national mourning period from this day to November 5.
