Police wrapped the investigation on the drug allegations of singer G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong) with no charges
According to reports on December 19th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit announced that they had decided to not hand over G-Dragon, who was booked without detention for violating the Narcotics Control Act, to prosecution on the 18th.
Earlier, the police booked and investigated G-Dragon based on the statement of A, a female director of an entertainment establishment. However, G-Dragon voluntarily attended the police summons and tested negative in all kinds of drug tests, including the detailed examination of body hair and nails.
The police then continued the investigation but found no clear evidence. As A also reversed her statement, it was impossible to confirm the drug allegations against G-Dragon.
As a result, G-Dragon proved that he was true when posting the message “Justice will prevail”. The male singer is expected to resume activities soon as there have been rumors of him discussing an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation, the production company of Netflix’s original program “Physical: 100”.
