A video showing the site of BTS V going to the military was released
A video titled “RM, Jimin, V, Jung Kook’s Entrance Ceremony with BTS” was uploaded on the YouTube channel “BANGTANTV”.
It appears that it was intentionally written in English out of consideration for overseas fans.
The video captures V’s enlistment at the Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungcheongnam-do on Dec 11th. Before enlisting, the members gathered to greet each other. Seeing RM, V hugged him.
V excitedly greeted RM, calling him “My colleague“. RM responded “Nice to see you” and they shook hands. When V said “It’s so nice to see you. I’ll see you when we eat“, RM expressed his heartfelt feelings, “I feel reassured thanks to you.” V confidently stated, “Namjoon, just trust me.” RM shared, “I feel so reassured as I’ll be joining with Taehyung.” V told RM “I hope we run into each other. I feel like we’re gonna crack up when we see each other” then burst into laughter.
RM went on to say, “Knowing that you’ll be struggling just like me makes me feel better.” V replied, “Right.“
The two then gave greetings to fans. RM said, “We’ll be back safely. Taehyung, you’ve prepared a lot of stuff, right? Something’s gonna come out.” V raised expectations by hinting, “I’m not sure if I did well, but I think ARMY will like it a lot.” RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook gathered in one place and took a commemorative photo together. V warmly greeted the members enlisting the next day, saying, “Sorry that I can’t be there to send you off.“
V also delivered a message to fans, “Hi, I’m Kim Taehyung from Kim Taehyung’s vlog. I’m joining the military. I’ll do my best and stay healthy in there. I might not be able to watch the vlogs for a while, but please keep recording them. I’ll watch them someday.”
Fans were moved by the sight of V and RM standing side by side, performing a synchronized salute.
V, who applied for the special forces, shared his thoughts before enlisting, “Honestly, I’m excited. It’s a different experience for me. I want to try something like this quickly. I think it’ll have a positive impact on my growth.”
