“The match was suspended”…”Physical: 100” manipulation controversy, runner-up Jung Hae Min directly spoke up

Jung Hae Min, the runner-up of Netflix’s entertainment show “Physical: 100”, claimed that there was a rematch during the recording of the final.

Jung Hae Min said through an exclusive interview with Ilyo News on Feb 28th, “I started to worry after seeing the production team’s explanation. Then, I decided when I saw ‘Physical: 100’ PD uploaded a post saying, ‘A lie can be famous, but it can never be true.'”

He claimed, “The ‘Infinite Rope Pull’ game started, and there was a big difference. The people who were watching on the monitor said that the speed difference was about 3 times. Woo Jin Yong raised his hand and told the production team, ‘There are too many ‘squeaky’ sounds.’ The production team lowered the strength of the rope tension due to Woo Jin Yong’s complaint. The rematch began and the moment when the end was in sight came. I kept pulling to finish the match, but the production team shouted to stop the match.”

He confessed, “The production team told me, ‘We can’t use the video on the broadcast because of an audio accident. If you allow it, we’ll cut off your rope and do it again.’ Woo Jin Yong said he would accept the condition. I told them several times that it was impossible because I used all my energy, but the production team said, ‘You can take a break, and we can do it tomorrow.’ I couldn’t make hundreds of people wait for me, so I accepted in the end.”

Earlier, after the release of the “Physical: 100” final, it was suspected that the tension of the ropes pulled by the players in the “Infinite Rope Pull” game was different for each player, so the rematch may have been held.

Accordingly, the production team explained on Feb 26th, “The final match was only temporarily suspended to check audio issues and listen to participants’ opinions at the beginning of the match. There was no rematch.”

PD Jang Ho Ki of “Physical: 100” wrote on his Instagram, “I’ll make sure to protect the past year that we worked hard on. A lie can be famous, but it can never be true.”
