The hit webtoon Personal Taxi is being adapted into an eight-episode mid-form drama, co-produced by Korea’s Big In Square, Studio Flow, and Japan’s Fuji TV. The casting lineup has officially been announced, bringing together a mix of top-tier stars and fresh talent, including Cha Tae Hyun, Lee Yeon Hee, Lee Jae In, Im Se Mi, Hyun Bong Sik, Kim Do Hyun, Mimi of Oh My Girl, Joo Jong Hyuk, Ye Ji Won, Ahn Ji Ho, Im Ha Ryong, and Ye Soo Jung.
The drama centers on a mysterious taxi that only takes pre-booked passengers. Each ride introduces an ordinary yet deeply personal story, accompanied by music that offers both healing and comfort. Directed by Jeon Chang Geun (The Queen of Office, Mystic Pop-up Bar, Artificial City), the series promises a heartfelt narrative. Music directors Park Sung Il and Han Saem, known for My Mister, Signal, and Itaewon Class, will enhance the storytelling with emotionally rich soundscapes.

Cha Tae Hyun, beloved for his warm and relatable charm, takes the lead role as the taxi driver, marking his return to television drama two years after Moving. Rising star Lee Jae In and versatile actress Im Se Mi will bring depth to the series, while Hyun Bong Sik, Lee Yeon Hee, and Kim Do Hyun add further weight with their proven performances. Oh My Girl’s Mimi will take on her first serious role, drawing much curiosity from fans.
The supporting cast includes Joo Jong Hyuk, fresh from Extraordinary Attorney Woo, veteran actress Ye Ji Won, actor Ahn Ji Ho, and established performers Im Ha Ryong and Ye Soo Jung, ensuring a dynamic ensemble.
Personal Taxi has also been selected for the Korea Creative Content Agency’s 2025 OTT-specialized content support program, securing a stable production environment. With Fuji TV on board, the drama is expected to expand globally through exports and remakes in Asia, North America, and Europe. Filming begins in September, positioning Personal Taxi as one of the most anticipated dramas of 2026.
