Actress Han Hyo Joo recently showcased her natural beauty, appearing without makeup for the cover of Singles magazine’s October issue. She stars in the upcoming Netflix Korea-Japan co-production Romantics Anonymous, set to premiere on October 16, where she plays Lee Hana, a genius chocolatier struggling with social anxiety.

In the pictorial, Han exuded a refreshing charm reminiscent of a character from a pure romance manga. During the interview, she revealed that more than 90% of her lines in Romantics Anonymous were in Japanese, which led her to live in Tokyo for about a year to fully immerse herself in the role. She described the filming experience as deeply moving, recalling how close she grew to the team: “By the end, most of the staff were in tears because we had bonded so much.”

Han also praised her co-star Shun Oguri, calling him “an incredibly skilled actor,” and noted the set atmosphere was filled with both laughter and a strong sense of camaraderie. The project has already drawn attention for its star-studded cast and Han Hyo Joo’s near-native Japanese, which added authenticity and depth to the story.
Reflecting on her 20-year acting career, Han shared: “I’ve been fortunate to come this far. I always feel indebted to the love and opportunities I’ve received, which is why I strive to work even harder.” Her sincerity and dedication have only heightened anticipation for Romantics Anonymous, expected to captivate audiences with its heartfelt performances and unique cross-cultural collaboration.
