People who received help from the late Moonbin wrote tribute letters, “I was so grateful to him…”

The late idol singer Moonbin became a star in the sky on April 19th. He passed away at the age of 25. His funeral was held privately on the 22nd.

On the same day, broadcasting staff who used to work with Moonbin and anonymous people who met Moonbin by chance paid tribute to the deceased by telling stories about him.

An anonymous netizen confessed, “I’m only saying this now, but I was so grateful to Moonbin”. They added, “When I was working as a staff member for a broadcast, Moonbin saw the director shout at me. He actually knew the way, however, he still came to us and intentionally asked the director, ‘I’m lost, can you help me find the way?’. I was so thankful for that”, paying tribute to the late Moonbin by revealing a beautiful anecdote about him.

Another netizen left a long message, saying “I don’t remember what show it was, but they were filming in front of the building of my house. I didn’t know about it and tried to leave, but the staff stopped me and told me that I could move during the filming break. It was not urgent, so I waited, but when I tried to leave, I had to go through the middle of the filming site. As I was passing by Moonbin, he apologized to me, saying ‘I’m sorry’. The staff didn’t apologize, so I remember that I cheered for Moonbin, saying ‘Good luck with the shoot’.”

Some other people also shared their memories with Moonbin. One said, “We happened to board the same plane and I was eating snacks. Moonbin looked at me, so I thought, ‘Is he looking at me because he wants to try the snacks?’. I gave him some new snacks and he said, ‘Thank you’, then ate them deliciously. He was very cute”.

A “Show Champion” staff member who worked with Moonbin in the past shared, “It was when both Moonbin and Sanha were the MCs for ‘Show Champion’. I was waiting for the elevator, but after Moonbin, Sanha, and other staff members got in, the elevator was a little full. I didn’t need to take the elevator right away so I just let them go first. At that time, Moonbin greeted me. His greeting was like saying thank you to me for letting them use the elevator first. I’ve liked him more since then.”

Another staff recalled and said, “Before Sua’s debut, Moonbin told me, ‘My younger sister is preparing for her debut’. I said ‘Sua!’ as I already knew it and he liked it so much. Moonbin then told me, ‘Please take good care of my younger sister when she debuts’. Not only me, but I think he treated everyone nicely. I miss him.”

A staff member who did an XtvN program with Moonbin posted a photo of a prop and said, “I’ve never released this picture anywhere else. He was a very pleasant and nice person”. 

Another netizen added the story of them receiving Moonbin’s help, saying “Moonbin was behind me at a restaurant, but I accidentally splashed the soup on him. I felt so sorry and was about to offer to pay for the laundry. However, he was worried about my clothes and helped me clean the soup.”

Many more staff members, reporters, and netizens who had met Moonbin on set also mourned him by sharing memorable moments they had with him.
