On August 2, Park Yoochun posted several photos on his personal account with the caption, “Osaka, are you ready?” The selfies, seemingly taken at a hair salon in Japan, show him with silver hair, no makeup and unstyled hair—giving fans a raw glimpse into his current look.
In response to the photos, many netizens commented on his changed appearance. Some said, “You bleached your hair—looks totally different” and “I almost didn’t recognize him.”

Park Yoochun’s public image has gone through dramatic ups and downs over the years. In 2018, he was arrested on charges of methamphetamine use and later received a 10-month prison sentence with a two-year suspension. Notably, during the investigation, he had publicly denied the accusations, even holding a press conference where he claimed he “never used drugs” and would retire from the entertainment industry if proven otherwise. However, after a positive drug test, his guilt was confirmed. Despite his earlier retirement statement, he returned to the industry only a year later.

In December 2024, South Korea’s National Tax Service revealed that Park Yoochun had been listed among the nation’s top habitual tax delinquents, owing approximately 490 million won in unpaid transfer and income taxes.
Nevertheless, he resumed his fan activities in Japan. In February, he held a high-priced fan signing event there, and most recently on August 1, he announced the release of a new Japanese song titled “MOON”.
As public reactions continue to swirl, Park Yoochun remains active in Japan’s entertainment scene, though his image at home in Korea remains under scrutiny.
