On August 2, a new episode titled “Reunion is Just an Excuse” was released on the YouTube channel “DdeunDdeun”, featuring Song Seung-heon and Uhm Jung-hwa, co-stars of ENA’s new drama “My Troublesome Star”. The episode included a personality test segment hosted by Yoo Jae-suk, where the stars answered personal questions to gain insights into their own behavior.
When asked how he handles conflict, Song Seung-heon admitted, “I’m definitely the avoidant type. For example, if I have a fight with my girlfriend, I’ll act like nothing happened the next day. But she might still be upset and think, ‘Why is he acting like this?’ I don’t tend to drag fights out—I just try to move past them quickly.”
The actor, now 48 and currently single, also reflected on what brings him the most joy: “Hanging out and chatting with my middle and high school friends. They don’t treat me like ‘Actor Song Seung-heon’, just the same guy from school. It’s so comfortable being with them.”

However, that closeness with his friends may have contributed to tension in past relationships. “When I had a girlfriend, she would often say, ‘Why do you like your friends more than me?’” he said. “I always wanted her to join us—I thought more people meant more fun conversations. But I later found out that these things were building up inside her. She never told me until much later.”
Yoo Jae-suk offered a pointed observation in response: “When you keep inviting your girlfriend to hang out with your close friends, she might seem to enjoy it. But you could be misunderstanding that as her genuinely liking the situation. Even if it feels comfortable to you, it might actually come off as inconsiderate.”
The conversation highlighted the importance of emotional communication and mutual understanding in relationships—insights that Song Seung-heon appears to be reflecting on more deeply in recent years.
