Park So-dam Recalls Her Thyroid Cancer Surgery, “I Couldn’t Get Out Of Bed Without Dad’s Help”
Actress Park So-dam felt how valuable life is after acting in “Death’s Game”
On December 13th, the press conference for TVING’s new series “Death’s Game” was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall on Hangang-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
At the event, Park So-dam confessed, “I’m going to tell you this very carefully”, adding “When I woke up from anesthesia (after papillary thyroid cancer), I had many thoughts, like ‘I should have lived diligently every day’, ‘each day is so precious and valuable’”.
Recalling that time, Park So-dam said, “After the surgery, I couldn’t even get out of bed without the help of my dad at first”, adding “That’s why I began to appreciate any movements of every part of my body, even the smallest ones.”
She then continued, “While doing this project, I found myself thinking a lot about life and death. I cried many times while reading the script. I believe that many of you will once again feel the importance of life if you watch our drama.”
Meanwhile, “Death’s Game” is a reincarnation drama in which Choi Yi-jae, who is on the verge of falling into hell, experiences deaths and lives 12 times. Part 1 will premiere on December 15th and Part 2 will be released on January 5th next year.
