Actress Park So-dam expressed her gratitude towards Choi Woo-sik, who worked with her in the movie “Parasite”.
The November 24 episode of MBC’s “Radio Star” featured Kim Young-ok, Jung Dong-won, Park So-dam, Solar and Song Hae.
On this day, Park So-dam drew attention by revealing the casting process’s behind story of “Parasite“.
She shared, “I came out as Choi Woo-sik’s sister in the movie. Director Bong Joon-ho said that he wanted to cast the two of us as siblings and told us to come to the first meeting without any makeup. Therefore, we did not even wash our hair.”
The actress added, “Director Bong Joon-ho was so satisfied. I was wondering how much we looked alike, but I found out after seeing the photos.”
Then, Park So-dam expressed her gratitude towards Choi Woo-sik, “I should be grateful to Choi Woo-sik for the rest of my life. He was cast first, and I was cast later because I resembled him. I got to appear on ‘Parasite’ thanks to him.”
