“Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show”: Child listener confesses her love for IU through voice letter
A child listener asked Park Myung-soo to help her convey her love for IU.
On KBS Cool FM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show“, which aired on Feb 12th, Park Myung-soo spent time connecting with listeners on the phone through the “11 o’clock My Hometown” section. On this day, a child listener under IU‘s fan club “UAENA” asked for a phone call with Park Myung-soo, saying, “I want to call Uncle Park Myung-soo, who is close to IU.”
When asked “Is there anything you want to ask?”, the listener explained, “Aren’t you close to IU? So I think you can help me convey my love for IU.” She added, “I just love her so much. She is my mentor, my first idol and my ideal type as well. I want to say that I love her.”
Park Myung-soo said, “I want to say the same thing. I really want to do it, but I won’t call because it might burden her. It’s difficult for Su-ji (listener’s name) to meet her, but try expressing your affection through SNS or cover IU’s songs and upload them on YouTube. If I meet IU, I’ll tell her that a child named Su-ji likes her.”
The child listener proved to be an enthusiastic fan by shyly singing IU’s songs at Park Myung-soo‘s request. Finally, the listener confessed through a voice letter, “It’s my first time doing something like this, but when I first heard you sing, I felt that you were really cool. It’s cool that you’re working hard while struggling with COVID-19. I really want to meet you in person. You’re a good singer. You’re also pretty and kind-hearted. I love you so much.”
On the other hand, when asked if there was anything she wanted to say to Park Myung-soo, she made everyone burst into laughter by choosing Yoo Jae-suk as her favorite “Infinite Challenge” member, saying, “I watched the old episodes of ‘Infinite Challenge’ and it seems that you suffered every day. It’s pitiful.”
