On the May 27 broadcast of the popular talk show, Park Ji Hyun appeared as a guest and spoke candidly about working alongside Kim Go Eun in the drama Eunjung and Sangyeon.
The actress had previously gained attention online after describing Kim Go Eun as “a blessing to the entire global arts and culture industry simply by existing.”
When asked to explain the meaning behind the statement, Park Ji Hyun revealed just how deeply she admires her co-star.
“I’ve been praising her everywhere during interviews,” Park Ji Hyun confessed with a smile.

She explained that she first became a fan of Kim Go Eun after watching Yumi’s Cells, adding that she initially found the actress too intimidating as a senior colleague to approach comfortably.
However, after eventually working together on set, Park Ji Hyun said she discovered a completely different side of Kim Go Eun.
“The energy she has on set makes everyone around her feel alive and able to breathe,” she shared. “No matter what project it is, once it passes through her hands, it feels like it turns into gold. She’s someone who gives life and strength to everything.”
Park Ji Hyun also revealed an emotional behind-the-scenes story from filming one of the drama’s final scenes involving assisted death.

According to the actress, Kim Go Eun unexpectedly improvised several lines that were not originally included in the script.
“She suddenly said, ‘Sangyeon, I love you’ and ‘Sangyeon, breathe,’” Park Ji Hyun recalled emotionally.
The actress admitted that the moment overwhelmed her so much that she could not stop crying during filming.
“I was supposed to stay still, but hearing her words made tears keep coming out. It felt like her voice and even her gaze were slowly fading away,” she said. “I wanted to say ‘I love you too,’ but the words just wouldn’t come out.”
The touching story quickly drew attention online, with many viewers praising both actresses for their emotional chemistry and deep mutual respect as performers.
Park Ji Hyun’s sincere admiration for Kim Go Eun also sparked renewed appreciation among fans for the actress’s reputation as one of South Korea’s most emotionally immersive performers.
