Park Ji Ah receives compliments for her excellent portrayal of Moon Dong Eun’s mother in “The Glory”, which makes viewers angry

Netflix released Part 2 of “The Glory” on March 10th. The drama tells about the revenge plan carefully planned by Moon Dong Eun (Jung Ji So/ Song Hye Kyo) whose soul was broken due to school violence experiences during her school days, and those who fall into the whirlwind of her revenge. In the drama, Yeon Jin (Shin Ye Eun/ Lim Ji Yeon), the person who led the bully group, said to the victim Dong Eun, “Your family is the biggest perpetrator, so why are you blaming others?”.

In fact, no one can deny that Jung Mi Hee, who appears as Dong Eun’s only family member in “The Glory”, is a perpetrator as terrible as Yeon Jin. Jung Mi Hee (Park Ji Ah) is Dong Eun’s mother and the first person who ruined Dong Eun’s life. She didn’t have much screen time in Part 1 but her presence shone in Part 2.

In Part 2, Jung Mi Hee, who made Dong Eun drop out of her high school for money and caused irreparable damage to her daughter, returns as an even more vicious villain. Jung Mi Hee is an alcoholic, and she doesn’t care about how her daughter is living. Once again, blinded by money, she takes the side of the perpetrator Yeon Jin instead of her daughter and tries to drag Dong Eun down.

She shows up at Dong Eun’s school in colorful clothes with orange-dyed hair and causes a stir, then barges into Dong Eun’s house and tortures Dong Eun in every way possible. Jung Mi Hee’s ruthless behavior as a perpetrator, whom Dong Eun cannot be separated from under the title of ‘family’, made viewers outraged from the beginning of Part 2. The sound of Jung Mi Hee’s annoying laughter is enough to make viewers want to shout “Stop laughing like that!” like Dong Eun.

Actress Park Ji Ah perfectly expressed the appearance of an extreme alcoholic with her whole body and shocked viewers with her portrayal of a mother who cannot be called a mother. Her performance was full of passion and madness. After watching “The Glory”, some netizens responded, “Isn’t it too much?”, “Does that make sense?”, etc., but many others argued, “Real alcoholics look like that”, “Her acting looks so real. It makes me feel frustrated”, etc.
