As Yoo In Sik, the producer of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” won Best Director at the Baeksang Arts Awards, Park Eun Bin bursted into tears.
On April 28th, the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards was held in Paradise City, Incheon, with the attendance of Shin Dong Yup, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum as hosts, as well as various other popular cultural artists who worked in various fields of TV, film, and theater.
In his award acceptance speech, Yoo In Sik expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the writer for providing a strange but valuable script, and I applaud actress Park Eun Bin, whose outstanding acting performance make Woo Young Woo an unforgettable character.”
At the same time, Park Eun Bin, who was sitting among the audience and listening to the speech, shed tears in appreciation.
Yoo In Sik also went on to thank “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” actors Kang Ki Young and Joo Hyun Young, as well as his family members who support him. Then, the producer promised to work hard in directing and asked the viewers to keep an eye on his works. He ended his speech by expressing gratitude to the viewers who loved “Woo Young Woo” last summer, as well as to all the “heroes” standing in front of the revolving door (a reference to “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, where kind and accepting character help the autistic Woo Young Woo by stopping the revolving door for her).
Meanwhile, the Baeksang Arts Awards is a comprehensive arts awards ceremony encompassing TV, film, and theater. It selects nominees from content provided on terrestrial, cable, OTT, and web platforms or domestically released works (Korea) during the period from April 1st, 2022 to March 31st, 2023.
