Park Bo-gum X Kim So-hyun, from Medalists to Police Officers “‘Good Boy’ airs in the second half of 2024”
JTBC’s new drama “Good Boy”, which will be broadcast in the second half of this year, depicts the story of Olympic medalists who become police officers due to a special reason. Instead of wearing medals, they wear police badges around their necks to face the world full of corruption and unfairness.
Directed by Shim Na-yeon, known for dramas like “The Good Bad Mother”, “Beyond Evil” and “Moment at Eighteen”, and written by Lee Dae-il, the screenwriter behind works like “Chief of Staff”, “Life on Mars” and “Bring It On, Ghost”, the drama has already attracted attention as JTBC’s most anticipated work for 2024.
Park Bo-gum will play the role of Yoon Dong-joo, a former boxer and currently a member of the special police team. Born with endurance and fists, he rises to the position of an Olympic hero but faces setbacks, leading him to start his second life as a police officer. The story revolves around the passionate journey of Yoon Dong-joo, a rookie police officer who regains his fighter instincts while confronting unbearable injustice.
Kim So-hyun will take on the role of Ji Han-na, an Olympic shooting gold medalist who gains popularity as the “Shooting Goddess” due to her outstanding beauty. However, she decides to leave shooting and pursue the path of a police officer due to a shocking incident that could surprise the world. Although appearing calm and quiet, Ji Han-na is a character with a reversed charm who straightforwardly expresses herself when it comes to love and work.
