Park Bo Gum to make musical debut with “Let Me Fly” this September

Actor Park Bo Gum is challenging his first musical for the first time in 12 years since his debut.

Earlier on July 4th, an official from Park Bo Gum’s agency The Black Label said to News1, “Park Bo Gum is positively reviewing the offer to appear in the musical ‘Let Me Fly’.”

Production company Pros Lab recently unveiled the performance schedule of “Let Me Fly”. Accordingly, the musical will be performed at Yes24 Stage in Daehak-ro, Seoul from September 26th to December 10th.

“Let Me Fly” is a musical about the story of Nam Won, a young man living in 1969 who travels in time to the future and wakes up as a 70-year-old man. Depicting the chaos surrounding Nam Won as he tries to return to the past and his transcendent love story, the musical is expected to captivate the audiences.

The musical was written by Jo Min Hyung and its music was composed by Min Chan Hong, who participated in the musical “Rangbo”.

In “Let Me Fly”, Park Bo-gum will be playing Nam Won, an ordinary young man who runs a repair shop in a neighborhood with Ahn Ji Hwan and Shin Jae Bum.

Kim Tae Han, Kim Do Bin, and Lee Hyung Hoon play the older version of Nam Won, who goes on a journey to return to the past.

Let Me Fly actors

Yoon Gong Joo, Choi Soo Jin, and Bang Jin Eui will portray Sun Hee, the wife of the old Nam Won, while Na Ha Na, Hong Ji Hee, and Lim Ye Jin take on the roles of Jung Bun, the person who loves Nam Won when he was young.

After its premiere last year, “Let Me Fly” was nominated in six categories at the 7th Korea Musical Awards. It also received Best Musical, Best Song, and Best New Actor for musicals with less than 400 seats.
