Park Bo Gum confirmed as lead actor in “Good Boy”, working hard with both musical to drama acting

Actor Park Bo Gum will appear in a new drama called “Good Boy”.

On July 14th, a broadcasting official stated, “Park Bo Gum has been cast in ‘Good Boy’”, adding “He will play the main character and lead the drama.”

“Good Boy” tells the story of Olympic medalists who become police officers due to a special reason. Instead of wearing medals, they wear police badges around their necks to face the world full of corruption and unfairness.

Athletes of unpopular sports, whose pensions were cut off due to being disqualified, who ended their athlete lives due to unpleasant accidents, or who are worried about their livelihoods, gather to form the “Olympic Avengers” for their own purposes. It’s a special team dedicated to dealing with violent crimes as the members utilize their own special skills as athletes to face injustice cases.

Park Bo Gum takes on the role of Yoon Dong Joo, a former boxer and currently a member of the special police team. The actor is expected to showcase diverse charms through this comic action youth investigation drama.

Park Bo Gum is receiving great support from fans and the public with his hard work in 2023. He is preparing for the premiere of the movie “Wonderland”. His new drama “You Have Done Well” (written by Lim Sang Chun/ directed by Kim Won Seok) has started its pre-production in the first half of this year. In addition, the actor recently announced his first musical challenge in 12 years since his debut with the play “Let Me Fly”.

“Good Boy” will be written by “Life on Mars” and “Chief of Staff” screenwriter Lee Dae Il and directed by “The Good Bad Mother” PD Shim Na Yeon. Anticipation for the drama is high since this is the new project by Shim Na Yeon after the cancellation of “The Price of Confession”, which previously cast Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee.
