“Our Blues” starring Lee Byung-hun, Shin Min-ah, Kim Woo-bin starts off with explosive responses from the viewers

tvN’s drama “Our Blues” recorded a high rating from the first broadcast.

The first episode of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Our Blues” recorded an average Seoul metropolitan area rating of 8.1% with the peak reaching 9.3%. Meanwhile, its average nationwide rating was 7.3% with a real-time peak of 8.5% (based on Nielsen Korea’s data).

On the 2049 rating chart, the drama achieved 4.2% in the Seoul area with a peak of 4.9%, and 4.1% nationwide with the highest point reaching 4.9%. In particular, “Our Blues” ranked No.1 in the 2049 viewership rankings of dramas from all channels, including terrestrial channels. 

Our Blues” is a new work written by Noh Hee-kyung and directed by Kim Kyu-tae. This is an omnibus drama that tells stories of people standing at the beginning, peak, or end of their lives against the backdrop of Jeju Island.

The main cast includes Lee Byung-hun, Shin Min-ah, Cha Seung-won, Kim Woo-bin, Lee Jung-eun, Han Ji-min and Uhm Jung-hwa. Lee Byung-hun plays Lee Dong-seok, a truck maker born in Jeju, and has a love line with Shin Min-ah, who takes on the role of Min Seon-ah, a woman with a hidden story who comes to Jeju.

Cha Seung-won plays Choi Han-soo, who returns to his hometown of Jeju as a perfect urban man. Lee Jung-eun appears in “Our Blues” as Jeong Eun-hee, a stubborn fish store owner who reunites with her first love Choi Han-soo after 30 years.

Han Ji-min takes on Lee Young-ok, a first-year haenyeo, while Kim Woo-bin plays Park Jung-joon, a captain with a clear and warm nature. Meanwhile, Uhm Jung-hwa’s character is Go Mi-ran, who returns to Jeju after being tired of the busy city life.
