“Our Blues” achieves its highest rating yet of 11.2% with Shin Min Ah and Lee Byung Hun’s affectionate ending
The latest episode of tvN’s star-studded drama “Our Blues” recorded double-digit ratings.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 10 of tvN’s “Our Blues”, aired on May 8th, recorded an average nationwide rating of 11.2%. “Our Blues” premiered to a promising start of 7.3% in the first episode and previously earned its personal highest rating of 9.6% in episode 8. With episode 10, the drama broke its own record and achieved double-digit ratings for the first time.
Episode 10 centers on the story between Dong Seok (Lee Byung Hun) and Seon Ah (Shin Min Ah).
Dong Seok felt sorry seeing Seon Ah immersed in her son’s custody trial. It was obvious that if Seoh Ah lost the trial, she would be heartbroken. So Dong Seok worked hard to make nervous Seon Ah smile before the trial.
On the other hand, Seon Ah asked about Dong Seok‘s approach to life where he always does everything he wants to do. Dong Seok then told the story of when he was young. His big sister was a diver. He wanted to apologize to her after their fight, but when he returned from school, his sister died in the sea. From this moment on, Dong Seok realized that there was no later in life.
In the meantime, Seon Ah spent the last day with her son Yeollie (Kim Ha Eon) in a bad way, and the next day, she lost the trial and was engulfed in sorrow. Seon Ah, who was sobbing, grabbed Dong Seok’s arm and asked, “Help me.” Dong Seok thought for a moment and kissed Seon Ah. However, Seon Ah immediately pushed Dong Seok away and said, “Not like this.” Dong Seok then grabbed Seon Ah’s wrist and told her, “I’ll help you. Follow me.”
In the ending scene, Seon Ah vaguely regained hope next to Dong Seok. The two exude comfort as they walked hand in hand.
“Our Blues” airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 pm KST.
