On the September 17 episode of MBC’s variety show Radio Star, Ong Seong-wu shared a lighthearted yet emotional anecdote about his close friendship with actress Shin Ye-eun. The episode featured a special lineup titled “Compilation of Guilty Humans,” with guests Jung Bo-seok, Lee Seok-hoon, Ong Seong-wu, and WOODZ.
During the broadcast, Yoo Se-yoon asked Ong if it was true that he once made a woman cry during an argument. Ong explained, “While filming the drama More Than Friends, I became really close with Shin Ye-eun. We spent about a month shooting together in Jeju, and since we were so comfortable with each other, we sometimes bickered.”
He continued, “One time while eating, we got into a small argument. In the middle of the conversation, I suddenly said, ‘That’s enough, stop talking,’ and she started to cry.”
Caught off guard, Ong admitted he immediately tried to console her. “I said, ‘*Why are you crying? I’m sorry.’ Then Ye-eun told me, ‘It’s okay if we get angry and fight, but how could you just cut me off like that while I was talking?*’ I apologized right away,” he recalled.
Reflecting on the moment, Ong added, “The conversation got too heated, and I ended up interrupting her. I know I shouldn’t have done that. But we’re still good friends now.”
