On April 26, Ok Taecyeon shared a poster of the movie Salmokji: Whispering Water on his Instagram, writing, “I’m not good with scary movies… but I’ll watch it while crying.”
Released on April 8, Salmokji: Whispering Water is a horror film that follows a filming crew who encounter a mysterious entity in a dark reservoir after strange figures appear on road-view footage. The movie stars Kim Hye Yoon, Lee Jong Won, Kim Jun Han, and Jang Da Ah.
Along with posting the film’s poster, Ok Taecyeon tagged Kim Hye Yoon’s Instagram account, expressing his support. Notably, he had just gotten married on April 24, yet chose to visit the theater instead of immediately leaving for his honeymoon, highlighting his strong friendship.
The two actors previously worked together as leads in the 2021 tvN drama Secret Royal Inspector & Joy. Although Taecyeon admitted he is not a fan of horror films, he still made the effort to watch it, proving their close bond.
Meanwhile, Ok Taecyeon tied the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend, who is four years younger, at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. The couple had been dating for over 10 years before getting married.
Fellow 2PM members Lee Junho, Jun. K, Nichkhun, Jang Wooyoung, and Hwang Chansung attended the wedding and even performed a congratulatory song. Chansung, the only married member of the group prior to Taecyeon, also served as the host, making the event even more meaningful.
Although the ceremony was private, photos of the wedding leaked online in China, sparking controversy. It is believed that a tourist staying at a nearby hotel captured the ceremony from their room window.
