“Obviously illegal?”… “Running Man”, controversy over illegal parking in the disabled’s parking area

It is controversial that “Running Man” broadcast a scene of parking in a parking area for the disabled.

The July 31st broadcast of SBS’ “Running Man” was decorated as a special episode named “Running Man’s tailback” where if a certain member’s name tag is found, he/she will be absorbed by a tail.

This day’s broadcast was filmed at Seoul Mountain Climbing & Culture Center located near Nanji Hangang Park. The members, who started the opening, came out of the building after receiving the mission and prepared to move.

However, this scene was controversial as the staff’s vehicles were parked in the disabled’s parking area outside the building.

The building is known to be closed on the day of filming. Even under the assumption that “Running Man” rented the entire building, parking in the “parking area for the disabled” can be a legal problem.

A fine of 100,000 won may be imposed on parking in a parking area for the disabled without attaching a parking available sign in the disabled-only parking area.

Netizens showed various reactions such as “The parking area for the disabled should always be empty”, “It’s too inflexible”, “It would have been illegal parking if this parking lot was open even though it was rented”…
