NiziU’s first solo tour attracted 330,000 spectators… Successful concerts at Kyocera Dome Osaka

JYP Entertainment’s girl group NiziU completed a large-scale solo tour with a total of 330,000 spectators and proved their presence as a “trending girl group”.

Following concerts at Tokyo Dome on Nov 12th and 13th, NiziU held “NiziU Live with U 2022 ‘Burn it Up‘” at Kyocera Dome Osaka on Dec 17th and 18th. With this, the first arena tour “NiziU Live with U 2022 ‘Light it Up'” with 16 concerts in 7 Japanese cities and a total of 4 dome concerts were successfully completed. NiziU met a total of 330,000 fans. Tickets for all concerts sold out rapidly after tickets were on sale.

9 members did their best to prepare for dome concerts. In response to fans’ support, the group raised fans’ satisfaction to the highest level with spectacular stage production as well as fantastic performances. From the pre-debut song “Make You Happy”, which gained syndrome-level popularity, representative songs such as “Take a picture”, “Poppin’ Shakin'”, “CLAP CLAP”, “Chopstick” to the new single “Blue Moon” (released on Dec 14th), NiziU presented stages that fans wanted to see and heated up the concert hall’s atmosphere properly.

2PM’s “Heartbeat” and Wonder Girls’ “Nobody” cover stages showed NiziU’s growth. Two songs from the 2020 global audition project “Nizi Project” were included in the concert setlist, showing an upgraded appearance and proving the presence of NiziU, which has been reborn as a “trending girl group”. Rap, dance and vocal unit stages also added to the fun of watching and excited the audience. On top of that, they created a special time by making eye contact with fans all over the dome in a camera wagon.

At the last concert held on Dec 18th, there was a surprise announcement that NiziU’s new song “Paradise” was selected as the theme song for the movie “Doraemon: Nobita’s Sky Utopia”, which is scheduled to be released in Japan in March 2023. Along with the movie trailer video, a surprise event was prepared in which popular characters “Doraemon” and “Nobita” appeared on stage.

NiziU, who entered the dome concert hall in the shortest time among female artists and communicated with 330,000 audiences in their first solo tour, are expected to continue their great performance in 2023.

NiziU is attracting attention with their activities during the year-end and New Year holidays. NiziU’s first winter ballad and new single “Blue Moon” (released on Dec 14th) topped the Oricon Daily Singles Chart on Dec 17th and 18th. Recently, they participated in awards ceremonies such as “2022 MAMA AWARDS” and “2022 Asia Artist Awards IN JAPAN”, leaving a strong impression with energetic performances. They won “Hot Trend Award – Singer” at “2022 Asia Artist Awards IN JAPAN”.
