Nick Fury returns to Earth in new Disney+ and MCU series “Secret Invasion”

The first trailer for Disney+’s new series, “Secret Invasion”, which delves into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has been unveiled.

Disney+’s new series, “Secret Invasion”, has finally unveiled its first trailer. The series can be seen as a follow-up to MCU’s “Captain Marvel” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, which were released in 2019.

Secret Invasion

“Secret Invasion” will revolve around Nick Fury, who, after uncovering a ploy to invade Earth of a group of shape-shifting Skrulls, recruits Everett K. Ross, Maria Hill, and Talos to stop it and save humanity.

Secret Invasion

Previously in “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, Nick Fury was depicted leaving Earth and being in space, entrusting his role to Talos. The reason behind Nick Fury’s action has not been revealed, raising curiosity.

Now, “Secret Invasion” will feature Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who has returned to Earth, alongside Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) from the “Black Panther” series, bringing joy.

Moreover, Don Chaedle will assume the role of James “Rhodey” Rhodes, who operates the War Machine armor, while British actress Olivia Colman will transform into Sonja Falzworth, a high-ranking MI6 agent and an MCU original character that does not exist in the original comics.

Additionally, Emilia Clarke, famous as the mother of dragons in the “Game of Thrones” franchise, has joined the cast, raising expectations. Emilia Clarke’s character is Talos’s daughter, G’iah. It seems that she has grown up a lot since “Captain Marvel”.

Unlike recent MCU releases, especially those that premiered in theaters and received harsh reviews, the release of the new trailer has raised fans’ expectations that another masterpiece will be born.

On the other hand, “Secret Invasion” is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in June.
