Due to an airline crisis in the US, NewJeans was unable to return to Korea and had to cancel various schedules.
On January 12th, ADOR, the agency of Kpop girl group NewJeans, announced, “NewJeans was scheduled to return home after completing their overseas schedule, but due to a malfunction in the local computer system in the United States, massive flight delays and cancellations occurred, making it impossible to return home on the planned schedule.”
As a result, NewJeans will not be able to attend the KBS 2TV music program “Music Bank” and the fansign event scheduled for January 13th.
The agency also emphasized, “We looked for an alternative flight to our best ability in order to maintain local schedules, but unfortunately, it is impossible to continue with the schedules as normal due to the aftermath of the US airline crisis.”
On the other hand, NewJeans recently released their new title song “OMG” and is in active promotions.
Below is the fill statement of ADOR:
“We will inform you about NewJeans’ schedule.
NewJeans was scheduled to return home after completing their overseas schedule, but due to a malfunction in the computer system in the US, massive flight delays and cancellations occurred, making it impossible to return home on the planned schedule.
As a result, they were unavoidably unable to participate in KBS Music Bank and the fansign event scheduled for January 13th, and the announcement of the winners of the Music Bank pre-recording scheduled after 12:00 PM today was also canceled. Regarding the fan sign event on January 13th, detailed information will be provided through a separate notice to the retailer.
I tried to find an alternative flight to participate in the schedule as much as possible locally, but unfortunately, it was difficult to participate due to the great aftermath of the air crisis.
We would like to ask for the generous understanding of fans, who have been waiting for NewJeans’ Music Bank stage and fansign event on January 13th.
We will do our best to help our artists return home safely.
