With their latest EP “Get Up”, NewJeans have become the 2nd best-selling girl group in terms of first week sales.
According to Hanteo Charts, as of the morning on July 28th, NewJeans’ latest EP, “Get Up”, has recorded 1,650,181 copies sold within the first week. This is double the first week sales of the girl group’s previous release, “OMG”.
With such a number, NewJeans’ first week album sales rank 2nd in history of Kpop girl groups (Hanteo). Currently, the 1st place belongs to aespa with the first week album sales of 1,698,784 for their album “MY WORLD”.
At the same time, NewJeans’ “Get Up” is sweeping through both Korean and international music charts. As of 10:00 AM (KST) on July 28th, the title “Super Shy” is topping Korean charts FLO, Melon, and Genie. It also ranks 2nd on Bugs, following another NewJeans title, “ETA”.
In addition, “Get Up” has recorded 165 million streams on the global music platform Spotify, proving NewJeans’ huge popularity.
