Girl group NewJeans received enthusiastic reactions from the ‘2023 Weverse Con Festival’ audience.
On June 11th, the ‘2023 Weverse Con Festival’ was held at the KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park. The performer lineup included &Team, Lightsum, Baekho, Uhm Jung Hwa, NewJeans, Enhypen, BTOB and Zico.
Popular rookie girl group NewJeans started their performance with each member presenting a different dance break part. Amid the hot cheers of the audience, the girls sang “OMG” and “Ditto”.
Later, Haerin said, “I think I will receive lots of energy today”, realizing the group’s extraordinary popularity. Hanni continued, “This ‘Weverse Con’ is held under the theme ‘Paradise’. My paradise is right now, at this moment. Being able to enjoy the stage together with you all feels like a paradise to me.”
Right after the youngest member Hyein said, “Let’s move on to the next song, which is full of happy energy”, NewJeans staged their debut songs “Attention” and “Cookie”. The girl group heated up the stage with their cheerful choreographies and lively visuals.
After then, Minji asked the audience, “Did you enjoy the gift we prepared?”, adding “It’s been a while since we last performed ‘Cookie’, so we felt very excited. NewJeans will work harder”.
Hanni shared, “It’s so sad that we only have one song left. We were so happy to be with you all today. We’re also working very hard so that we can quickly see you guys again”, raising high expectations for their upcoming comeback this fall.
Before leaving the stage, NewJeans performed the mega-hit song “Hype Boy”, giving off a refreshing vibe.
