To portray the antagonist in “Missing You,” Kim Sung Oh underwent a remarkable physical transformation, losing a staggering 16kg. This dramatic weight loss took a toll on his health. His commitment to embodying the character went beyond the scale, as he revealed a shocking incident that occurred during the filming process.

During one particular scene, Shim Eun Kyung’s character had to choke Kim Sung Oh’s character. Unaware of his weakened physical condition, Kim Sung Oh encouraged Shim Eun Kyung to exert as much force as possible to make the scene feel real. “Use all your strength. Don’t worry, you can’t kill me,” he told her before they started shooting.

Supported by her senior’s request, Shim Eun Kyung squeezed Kim Sung Oh’s neck with genuine intensity. However, as the pressure increased, before Kim Sung Oh could react or communicate his discomfort, he fainted on set.

This story left everyone astonished, particularly Kim Tae Hee, who expressed her disbelief at the severity of the situation. “He really almost died,” she exclaimed.
