On the afternoon of August 11th, the 2023 World Scout Jamboree’s “K-pop Super Live” (hereinafter referred to as “Jamboree Kpop Concert”), was held at Seoul World Cup Stadium. The event was also broadcast live through KBS 2TV.
Here, NewJeans Hyein, along with actor Gong Myung and ITZY’ Yuna, stepped onto the stage as MCs. Playing such an important role, Hyein delivers fluent English hosting, earning cheers from more than 40,000 scout members from around the world who gathered at the scene.
In particular, when asked about the meaning of “Jamboree”, Hyein confidently answered, “I’ve studied hard. ‘Jamboree’ means a pleasant play and a delightful feast.”
Notably, the female idol not only answered in Korean but also explained the meaning of “Jamboree” in English.
Furthermore, Hyein consistently maintained a smile on the live stage and showed no signs of nervousness, at the same time adding to the fun of the “Jamboree Kpop Concert” with her natural reactions.
On the other hand, the Jamboree Kpop concert faced various controversies due to organization issues, leading to numerous changes in schedule, venue, and performer lineup.
Nevertheless, various artists, including NewJeans, IVE, NCT DREAM, ITZY, MAMAMOO, THE BOYZ, Shownu X Hyungwon (MONSTA X), fromis_9, ZEROBASEONE (ZB1), Kang Daniel, Kwon Eunbi, Jo Yuri, P1Harmony, KARD, THE NEW SIX (TNX), ATBO, xikers, Libelante, and dance crew HolyBang, were able to confirm their appearance at the event.
