Recently, posts titled “Jeon Jae Joon’s ending hint cut that we missed” and “The production team openly gave spoilers, now I have goosebumps” went viral on Daum and Instiz. The posts contained information related to the final predicament of “The Glory” character Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon), one of the perpetrators of school violence in the drama.

Jeon Jae Joon, who has color blind, lost his eyesight while putting eye drops which was conteminated by Choi Hye Jeong. Later, his car was hit by a truck and he was pushed down a mixture of wet cement by Ha Do Young (Jung Sung Il).

Regarding this ending, some viewers noticed that the snacks placed behind Ha Do Young while he was eating triangular gimbap at a convenience store in the previous scene read, “Close your eyes”. It was as if a foretelling of Jeon Jae Joon’s demise, who died blind.

Viewers also found a banner with the phrase “If you fall, you will die” in the background where Jae Joon confronted Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) in a rainy day and later was joined by Joo Yeo Jung (Lee Do Hyun). It was another hint at how Jae Joon would fall, literally, at the end of the drama.

Netizens’ responses to the new discovery are divided. At first, people praised the meticulousness of the writers and production team, “It’s such a detailed production,” “I think it’s just a coincidence, but didn’t [the viewers] have to give it meaning?” “There is a concept of mise-en-scène in filming, and even if it’s not, there is also an Easter egg that the director or writer intentionally puts in.”

An employee at a construction company gave their take, “I’m an employee of a construction company. [The banner will usually be] ‘safety first’, but if you put up a banner saying, ‘If you fall, you’ll die,’ it probably will get a complaint from the safety team.”

Nonetheless, the overall reaction is positive, as netizens praised the viewer who discovered the detail as a detective for having been able to gather the clues and come up with an explanation.
