Netizens were shocked to see a 14-year-old girl group member drinking powdered milk to grow taller

The scene of CLASS:y’s Park Bo-eun drinking powdered milk has recently become a hot topic.

The broadcast of MBC’s “Omniscient Interfering View”, which aired on May 14th, depicted the process of rookie girl group CLASS:y preparing for their debut.

Cho Yi-hyun, a former member of idol group F-ve Dolls and DIA, appeared as CLASS:y’s manager. She said, “The company suggested me the producer position. I’m doing everything I can. I’m working passionately hoping these friends would do well”.

During the practice break, 14-year-old Park Bo-eun surprised all the cast members in the studio as she took out powdered milk and drank it.Won Ji-min explained, “Many members are still growing. They said drinking powdered milk helps them get taller”. In fact, CLASS:y’s average age is 16 years old, making them one of the youngest idols at the moment. The members reacted enthusiastically to Park Bo-eun, saying she looked so cute when drinking her powdered milk in a bottle. 

However, Internet users reacted differently to the scene. Netizens on the online community theqoo gave negative responses, saying “Act normally, please… Grown-up kids would not do that”, “If you eat powdered milk at that age, you won’t grow taller but only gain weight”, “Do they make her show this image?”, “What kind of concept is this? She might get hated”, “What’s wrong with them?”, “I think this image is kinda weird”, etc.

Meanwhile, CLASS:y is a rookie group consisting of 7 members selected from MBC’s girl group audition program “My Teenage Girl”. They made their official debut with the title song “SHUT DOWN” on May 5th.
