New York Fashion Week Fall – Winter 2023 is drawing much attention. Six days of New York Fashion Week mark the return of famous designers like Rodarte, Anna Sui, Tom Ford, Peter Do… and most surprisingly, Alexander Wang.
Recently, “Business Of Fashion” published an article titled “Alexander Wang’s romantic return to New York“. Immediately, the article angered many netizens as they couldn’t understand why Alexander Wang could return to the fashion scene after allegations of sexual assault.

At the end of December 2020, Alexander Wang faced allegations of sexual assault from male model Owen Mooney. Accordingly, Owen said he met Alexander in a club in New York in 2017 and was groped by the designer.
“It turns out that Alexander Wang is a massive predator. He needs to be exposed. People with this kind of status, they think their power gives them this pass to do this to people,” said Owen Mooney. He also encouraged other victims of Alexander Wang to speak up to bring the truth to light.
Soon after, many stories from anonymous sources were posted on social networks, exposing Alexander Wang’s sexual misconduct. Some models accused him of putting stimulants in their drinks, while others were forced to spend the night in Alexander Wang’s room.
At the time, The Model Union, a non-profit organization that helps protect the rights of fashion models, announced that they would do their best to protect the victims of Alexander Wang. Two months after the accusations, Alexander Wang gave a statement of regret and promised that he would “do better.”
