Netflix’s new series is topping charts across the world, but lost to one K-drama in Korea?

The new Netflix series “Stranger Things” is sweeping the world’s audience off their feet, only to miss the first place in South Korea. 

According to the Netflix analysis site Flix Patrol, the first part of “Stranger Things” season 4 has taken first place in all service countries in the TV category, except for Korea. 

This 4th season was first released on May 27th, and ever since, has taken the world by storm, scoring 889 points on Flix Patrol.

However, in South Korea, the series opened with 5th place on May 28th, and climbed to 2nd place as of May 29th. The first place was occupied by the K-drama series “My Liberation Notes”, which ended on the same day.

“Stranger Things” is a Netflix original series that revolves around a group of best friends living in Hawkins, Indiana, USA, who pursue strange events that occur within their town. 

Season 4 of this series started with the appearance of a new supernatural being in the town of Hawking. It will cover the story of Eleven and Will, who moved to California after the Battle of Starcourt, and Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, who remained in high school.
