In particular, Ryan Grandhtam’s legal representative said, “Mr. Grantham recently advised me that he’s doing well, getting the help he needs, and has gained some insight into what happened and why. He regrets what he did to his mother.”

However, the attorney also claimed that Grantham could be “physically, mentally and sexually intimidated” due to his frail stature, and so made a plea to have the actor relocated.

According to the same attorney, the actor has realized he has a lot of personal work to do, and that he’s dedicating himself to that. “He can hopefully be a mentally healthy and contributing member of society at some point in time in the future”, they also added.

In the end, Grantham was sentenced to second-degree murder in September 2022. He was initially charged with first-degree murder and held in custody for two and a half years, then pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. He was also ineligible for parole for 14 years.
