The rankings for TV-OTT integrated drama section in the 5th week of August have been announced
As of the 5th, according to Good Data Corporation, the 1st place in the “Top 10 Drama Actors’ Popularity” went to actor Namgoong Min (MBC’s ‘My Dearest’). Following Namgoong Min, 2nd place went to Ahn Eun-jin (MBC’s ‘My Dearest’), 3rd place to Jo In-sung (Disney+ ‘Moving’), 4th place to Ryu Seung-ryong (Disney+ ‘Moving’), and 5th place to Han Hyo-joo (Disney+ ‘Moving’).
In the 10th episode aired on the 2nd, the fates of Lee Jang-hyun (Namgoong Min) and Yoo Gil-chae (Ahn Eun-jin) were intertwined amidst cruel circumstances, marking the conclusion of Part 1.
After several years since the Qing Dynasty’s invasion of Joseon, Lee Jang-hyun returned to Hanyang with a pair of flower shoes for Yoo Gil-chae. However, Yoo Gil-chae, who had thought Lee Jang-hyun was dead, was about to marry the man who had saved her life in the past, Gu Won-mu (Ji Seung-hyun). The person who had the most significant influence on Gil-chae’s decision to marry was Yang Eum (Kim Yoon-woo). Yang Eum, who had disliked Gil-chae, lied that Lee Jang-hyun had died and had met another woman before his death.
Upon learning the truth, Lee Jang-hyun went to find Yoo Gil-chae again and proposed to her. Gil-chae, harboring feelings of sorrow, love, and resentment towards Lee Jang-hyun in her heart, poured out her emotions. In response, Lee Jang-hyun said, “I will accept the punishment for my sins, even if it means death in the hands of the sinner,” and asked her to be with him.
However, the destiny that the two faced was too cruel for them to think only of love. Yoo Gil-chae, who had been the head of the family for several years after the war, remembered her family and her friend Gyeong-eun-ae (Lee Da-in). She realized that she couldn’t leave them behind and bid farewell. ‘My Dearest’ Part 2 will take a break after Episode 10 and is scheduled to return to the viewers next month.
On the same day, Namkoong Min shared a photo on his Instagram story, which contained the result of ‘My Dearest’ ranking 1st in last week’s TV-OTT drama and non-drama integrated popularity. He expressed his joy at the hot popularity of ‘Lover’ by adding a heart emoji to the “1st place” caption.
The ‘Top 10 Drama TV-OTT Popularity’ rankings announced together included 1st place MBC’s ‘My Dearest’, 2nd place Disney+’s ‘Moving’, and 3rd place Mnet’s ‘Street Woman Fighter 2′, among others.
