On January 17, Nam Tae-hyun released the music video for his new song through his official channel. This is his first song released after his drug controversy.
The song contains lyrics such as, “To say it was just a dream that passed / There were so many good days,” “I didn’t know it then, I was so foolish,” “It’s too late, but I want to say I’m sorry,” “I’m just afraid of being forgotten,” and “Even if tears blur my vision from longing / Flowers will bloom again,” revealing regrets about the past and determination for the future.
Nam Tae-hyun debuted as a member of the group Winner in 2014, but left the group after two years and has been active as a vocalist and frontman for the band South Club. However, he has been criticized for incidents such as drunk driving, and caused a stir in 2022 when he was accused of drug use. Additionally, he was also accused of dating violence by an ex-girlfriend, but has since refuted the news.
Meanwhile, previously on March 13th, Nam Tae-hyun made a post on his SNS account, saying “I made a big mistake, but I’m sincerely reflecting on it and regretting it every day. Once again, I want to apologize and thank you once again for your concern and curiosity about how I’ve been doing”.
He continued, “After being discharged from the rehabilitation center, I got a space in the same building to continue to strengthen my effort to overcome my drug addiction”, adding “In the process, my heart and soul are still slowly recovering, but they have become a lot better now. I’m planning to gradually improve my bad lifestyle and my way of thinking here and try harder to blend in with the world.”

Nam Tae-hyun confessed, “After much consideration, I realized that what I ultimately have to do is ‘music’’, adding “While there are aspects that are intimidating and challenging, I think that the only way to repay those who wait and support me is with music that comforts and give happiness, not controversies anymore”.
Announcing his plan to release an album, the male singer said, “Since I have to do everything from scratch, working part-time and raising production costs little by little, it may take some time. But when these songs come out, I will make sure they will satisfy you”.
Lastly, Nam Tae-hyun promised, “I will continue to reflect on myself, repent, and live with a heart full of apologies to those who have been hurt.”
Meanwhile, Nam Tae-hyun was accused of administering methamphetamine with “Heart Signal 3” cast member Seo Min-jae at his residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul in August 2022. In the first trial held in January, he received a sentence of one year in prison and two years of probation.
Nam Tae-hyun also drew attention when he posted a notice recruiting students for vocal lessons.
