Nam Tae-hyun Stars Anew As Vocal Trainer & Mentions YG Trainee Experience
Former WINNER member Nam Tae-hyun challenges himself as a vocal trainer while on probation for drug charges
On March 6th, Nam Tae-hyun released an announcement on his personal SNS, saying “I’m recruiting vocal trainees”. Stating his experience, Nam Tae-hyun described himself as “a singer who was a trainee under companies such as YG for 4 years and has been singing for 10 years”.
He continued, “I can teach you idol vocal, band vocal, ballad, R&B, etc. Based on my experiences from numerous stages, recordings, album productions, broadcasts, and winning ‘Immortal Songs’, I will help you find a tone that suits your voice and become an attractive vocalist”. He also provided an e-mail for inquiries.
Earlier in August 2022, Nam Tae-hyun was accused of taking methamphetamine with “Heart Signal” cast Seo Min-jae at her home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. In the first trial held in January this year, Nam Tae-hyun was sentenced to one year in prison and two years of probation, while the sentence for Seo Min-jae was a 10-month imprisonment and 2-year probation. At that time, the court explained, “We took into consideration the defendants’ desire to cut off drugs and their families and acquaintances’ hope for leniency”.
Since then, Nam Tae-hyun has been consistently reflecting on himself by voluntarily receiving treatment at a drug addiction rehabilitation center in Incheon. In addition, he appeared as a reference at the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly’s Health and Welfare Committee and talked about the importance of drug rehabilitation policies, saying “I think the number of drug addicts is increasing significantly these days, but to be honest, support for drug addiction rehabilitation is extremely lacking”.
The male singer has also revealed his whereabouts at the drug rehabilitation center through his YouTube channel. Now, he’s dreaming of starting a new life as a vocal trainer by mentioning his experience of training under YG. Attention is on the future move of Nam Tae-hyun as he promised to become a person who spread good influence in the previous trial.
